I can't say I've always wanted to be a marine biologist. Instead, I'd say I've always enjoyed learning and communicating information. 'Learn something. -> Communicate it.' In undergraduate, I initially studied technical writing and creative photography. This taught me how to communicate complex ideas. Towards the end of my degree, I didn't know where to go, but I liked the idea of science writing and the format of scientific discovery: 'Learn something. -> Communicate it.' In the last two years of my B.S., I added a biology major and never looked back.
